The VX50 GTV was born out of a desire to open up new possibilities for guitar amplifiers. An almost impossibly lightweight design, optimum sound driven by modeling technology, a carefully calculated internal structure for realistic and stage-ready sounds, and the new generation Nutube vacuum tube featured in the VX50 GTV are some of its many pioneering features, reinventing VR guitar amplifiers. Thanks to the modeling amplifiers they have been producing for years, VOX delivers the ultimate sound. The proprietary VET (Virtual Element Technology) not only reproduces the audible result, but also rethinks the original circuitry itself, meticulously modeling even the individual components that affect the sound, providing unprecedented realism. In addition to the classic AC30, this unit covers a wide range of sounds, including famous tube amps, modern high-gain amps and rare boutique amps. The newly added LINE selection supports not only electric guitar but also acoustic guitar, further expanding the unit's utility.

The VX50 GTV features a Nutube, a new generation vacuum tube. Using electro-luminescent technology that shares the same structure as a traditional vacuum tube, Nutube has been used in a variety of VOX and other products. The distortion and compression feel you expect from a vacuum tube, and even the response and playing feel, perfectly capture the feeling of playing with a vacuum tube. In addition to its lightweight design that cannot be achieved with a traditional vacuum tube amplifier, Nutube provides additional unique advantages such as being maintenance-free and providing incredible price/performance.

■ Tuner and other support functions
A tuner is just one of many functions that provide general support for the guitarist. An AUX input lets you enjoy playing along with an external sound source, a headphone/output jack with a built-in cabinet simulator is a great feature for practicing at home, preset modes let you instantly recall stage-ready sounds, and there’s a manual mode that lets you adjust settings to reflect physical knob positions.

■ Adding foot switches for extended features
A separately available foot switch lets you use your foot to change programs and turn effects on/off. When the VFS5 is connected, program memories are expanded to eight types. This provides excellent support for your stage performances.
