Building on the lessons we learned from SYNTRX, we set out to create an instrument that would integrate even more deeply into contemporary electronic and experimental music setups and cover sonic territory from eerie drones to powerful bass lines and shimmering soundscapes - SYNTRX II is a new dark horse for experimental sonic excursions.
SYNTRX II is the pinnacle of our analog sound design circuitry - two superbly stable master oscillators with wave shapers, a modulation oscillator with 1V/oct tracking, a versatile multi-mode filter, supercharged external instrument inputs with an envelope follower, a unique, great-sounding ring modulator, a recordable joystick, an internal piano roll sequencer and cascade modulation sources, all arranged around our dedicated matrix mixer and complemented by powerful FX from our new DSP platform.
The SYNTRX 2 is amazing, a very different instrument from the V1. My first synths were the VCS3 and the AKS, and they are still among my favorites today.
