The opsix module is a unique digital synthesizer. The opsix Operator Mixer simplified FM synthesis for the first time, making it not only understandable but also controllable. The addition of additional synthesis capabilities and programming provided a more efficient workflow and an even richer sound.

Korg has now created a new form of opsix, the module. This model supports MIDI 2.0 property exchange and poly aftertouch, and is the perfect companion for the Keystage. It is also fully compatible with the sounds of the original opsix, opsix mk II, opsix SE and opsix native software, as well as a number of excellent third-party libraries, keeping the updated sounds and software fresh. The new 19-inch rack mount chassis features the same controls as the keyed models, plus it is easily portable and fits neatly into any studio or desktop production system.

MIDI 2.0 Property Exchange and Polyphonic Aftertouch support

With the latest software updates, all opsix models, hardware and software, now support MIDI 2.0 Property Exchange. Hundreds of original factory sounds have been updated to include Polyphonic Aftertouch modulation (Channel Aftertouch is also supported), making the opsix module the perfect companion to KORG's Keystage keyboard.

Rack Mount and Desktop

The Opsix module is cleverly designed for both desktop and rack mount. The panel has been redesigned to fit a standard 19" width, and the rear jack panel is recessed to allow easy access to cables, even with hardware mounted directly above it. For desktop setups, the brackets offer a variety of panel angles: flatter for standing performance, or more upright for working while seated in your studio.
