Each of its features calls you to own Cerberus!
Cerberus is a multifunctional effect pedal that can be used standalone or with the 4-cable method, featuring flexible signal routing built into the device, the ability to load Impulse Response files, 100% analog overdrive & distortion and high-quality digital effects.
You can use Cerberus as a pedal controller to prepare and control your pedal setup and/or save any signal path as a preset and call it up with a single touch!
You can add your indispensable pedals to your signal chain with the 4-cable method, regardless of the equipment you use! Since Cerberus can also control MIDI messages, you can control your effect pedals with unprecedented flexibility!
Cerberus comes with 2 100% analog drive and distortion pedals, modulation effects, delay and reverb effects, all carefully created by NUX! All these sounds and tones are created from traditional pedals that guitarists cannot do without, and from modern versions of these pedals!
Analog Effects
Overdrive (Blues Breaker): Cerberus Overdrive is designed specifically for the 70's Hendrix style of playing, which includes lots of chord and melody themes. The Overdrive channel transforms your guitar tone without adding unnecessary and unwanted midrange frequencies like those found in pedals like the Tube Screamer!
Distortion (Brown Anger): If you're looking for a classic British tone with high drive, rich bass, full mids and balanced highs, Cerberus will soon become one of your favorite pedals! The Overdrive and Distortion channels on the Cerberus are designed to work in harmony with each other. You can use the Distortion channel alone or together with the Overdrive channel! When you activate the Distortion channel, you can instantly start using the classic JCM tone!
Cerberus's Distortion and Overdrive circuit is completely analog, only the parameter controls are digital! This circuit, which will give the main character of the guitar tone, is completely analog! (The digital circuit and AD/DA converter part are active from the MOD FX section!)
Modulation Effects
Tremolo: Cerberus Tremolo offers you its unique tremolo effect with many control parameters and is equally easy to use!
Phaser: The phaser on Cerberus has a warm, organic and soft character, offering you the phaser effect you are looking for, whether it is very complex or simple, for you to enjoy!
U-Vibe: You can easily achieve the dazzling vibe tones that guitarists are after, especially in vintage mode! Cerberus alone is enough for you to achieve traditional vibe tones!
Chorus (CE - Analog, SC - Digital, ST - Modern)
CE Analog Chorus: Cerberus Chorus has all the characteristics for a traditional chorus tone! If vintage tones are what you're after, you'll always want to use Cerberus Chorus!
SC Digital Chorus: Ambient guitar tone lovers will be able to achieve very wide and voluminous guitar tones with the Cerberus Digital Chorus mode!
ST Modern Chorus: Cerberus ST Modern Chorus provides the most preferred standard chorus tone that complements your guitar tone with both clean and driven tones!
Delay (For the 60s, 70s and 80s!)
60's Delay (Tape Delay) 55ms - 550ms: The Vintage Tape Delay effect never gets old for guitarists! In Cerberus 60's Delay mode, you can get those dirty delay repeats from old analog magnetic tapes!
70's Delay (BBD) 40ms - 400ms: This mode is for you if you like analog style delay loops! The amount of modulation effect in the loops is reduced so you can get the popular analog style BBD delay effects!
80's Delay (Digital Delay) 80ms - 800ms: 80's Delay mode provides incredible clear repeats with great delay tones. If you are already using modulation effects and looking for clean & clear repeats, this is the mode to use!
TAP TEMP
All delay modes on Cerberus apply the delay effect within their own delay time limits, staying true to the guitar tone! When “Tap Tempo” is active, the “Time” pot works to provide you with delay repeat intervals in musical time scales! “Tap Tempo” is between 125ms – 1500ms for all delay modes. When you play with the “Time” pot in this mode, you can get infinite feedback and oscillation by working within the original delay intervals, just like in real magnetic tape delay effects!
Reverb (Plate, Hall and Spring)
Plate Reverb: If you want deep, ambient reverb effects with long decay times, then the Plate Reverb mode is for you! It is very easy to achieve both organic and versatile reverb effects with parameter settings!
Hall Reverb: Everyone loves natural reverb in large enclosed spaces! If you're after studio-quality Hall Reverb tones with natural reflections, this is the mode to choose!
Spring Reverb: Cerberus's Spring Reverb mode makes it easy to achieve classic spring reverb tones that are organic and warm!
Impulse Response Upload Possibility!
Cerberus has stereo outputs. One of these outputs is a speaker simulation output that you can directly connect to your mixer or sound card. If you want to use both outputs at the same time, you can activate or deactivate this speaker simulation with the Speaker Cab Sim button! This option will be quite functional since it uses 2 amplifiers! The headphone output is designed with speaker simulation active and is ready to play directly, in addition to this, it allows you to play 3rd party IR files.
