The Korg nanoKEY2 is a 25-key keyboard designed for use with laptops and netbooks. The improved key design is velocity sensitive.
With a slim, newly-launched design that’s designed for new computers and key feel that rivals Korg’s professional keyboards, the nanoKEY2 delivers keyboard responsiveness that’s not surprising for its class and size. The keys are generously spaced to prevent you from hitting the wrong note. Touch and velocity response are carefully tuned to accurately translate the nuances of your performance to your software.
The Octave Shift button, seen on Korg MIDI controllers, can shift the overall tone up or down by four levels. When used with the Key Transpose feature, all notes within the MIDI spectrum are accessible. For enhanced performance, there are Pitch Bend buttons, a Modulation button, and a Sustain button. The on/off speed of each of these buttons can be defined in four levels using the Korg Kontrol Editor, allowing for smooth changes in performance.
It works with the "Korg Kontrol Editor", which can be downloaded for free from the Korg website. This software can be loaded onto a computer and used for custom setups. Simply connect the nanoKEY2 to your computer using a USB cable to create a portable music production system. Since it is powered by USB, there is no need for a power plug.
