The MV50’s all-analog preamp circuitry features the revolutionary new Nutube vacuum tube, which provides authentic tube tone. VOX’s engineers took advantage of this incredible new technology to design a true miniature tube amplifier. Beyond the Nutube, the MV50’s preamp circuitry contains numerous analog components that effectively replicate the dynamic character of a traditional tube amplifier. This innovative preamp circuitry is paired with a reliable and efficient Class D power amplifier designed specifically for the MV50. From warm, natural cleans to dynamic overdrive, this power amplifier is designed to match the nuances of your guitar and, of course, your technique.

Although designed with the compact BC108 in mind, the MV50 is a perfect fit for almost any speaker cabinet. The EQ switch on the rear of the amplifier has two different settings: FLAT and DEEP. When connected to a small cabinet like the BC108, setting the amplifier to DEEP emphasizes the rich low-end range and prevents the high frequencies from standing out as prominently. When connected to a larger, more characterful amplifier, setting the amplifier to FLAT mode allows you to take full advantage of the speaker cabinet’s capabilities without emphasizing or diminishing any of the frequency range.

When it’s time to practice or record, the MV50’s line/headphone output can be used directly with a mixer, an audio interface, or your favorite headphones. VOX’s design team teamed up with highly experienced recording engineers to design the MV50’s cabinet simulation circuitry using the best microphones and vintage preamps. This cleverly designed circuitry lets you record or practice anywhere with serious studio sound.
