Drawmer MC7.1 - Surround Monitor Controller
Surround Monitor Controller 7.1/5.1
MULTI SOURCE STUDIO MONITOR CONTROLLER FOR 7.1 / 5.1 SURROUND & STEREO APPLICATIONS
The Drawmer MC7.1 Surround Monitor Controller is a combined 7.1/5.1 and stereo monitor controller. It is designed to provide all the mix control features required for surround recordings without detracting from those used in stereo monitoring. It shares the same original and transparent construction as the other Drawmer monitor controllers, with the sturdy desktop wedge form factor used in the popular MC3.1.
Whether it’s producing sound for film or television or transporting the listener directly into the orchestra, one thing is for sure, the number of users who want to hear sound in a surround environment, be it 5.1, 7.1, quadraphonic, DTS®, Dolby Digital EX, THX Surround EX™, DTS-HD™, Dolby Atmos®, etc., is constantly increasing and will continue to do so. There are an increasing number of surround products on the market, not only for blu-ray products and home theater, but also for mobile and media devices. For example, Apple devices have been able to reproduce 7.1 surround since iOS 9.3. Therefore, at some point, every artist and engineer considers using surround sound in order not to be left behind.
There is no shortage of connection options thanks to two sets of balanced 7.1 inputs, 1 7.1” Balanced Stereo input and a handy front panel Aux Input, Balanced 7.1 Speaker outputs and an independent Stereo output with its own subwoofer option. Depending on the input type and speaker positioning, the Drawmer MC7.1 can support mono, stereo, various surround modes or 8 independent channel speaker setups.

The MC7.1 is a powerful surround monitor controller in its own right, but it's also perfect for checking your stereo mixes. Whether it's audio post production or a small home studio, any studio will work in stereo or surround. In addition to the surround features, the MC7.1 includes the same comprehensive stereo "mix control" functions that were also introduced in the MC3.1, which can of course be applied to either the stereo input channel or the surround channels.
With the ability to "mix down" the surround mix to the FL and FR speakers OR when the individual stereo main speakers are combined with a comprehensive cut or solo matrix, any combination of surround channels can be listened to in the front group. Want to focus on the rear channels? Mix down to just the front stereo speakers, then move them out of the mix! Showing the center or LFE channels individually provides a central mono presentation across the fronts or stereo network!
Switchable Mono/Sub output, the popular Low/Mid/High band solo feature, Internal Talkback Mic with footswitch control and External Talkback Mic input with speaker level matching are all carried over to the MC7.1 from the MC3.1, adding to the existing features.

Features:
• Pristine, ultra-low noise and transparent circuit design ensures your mix is accurately represented whether in surround or stereo.

• A Stereo input via Neutrik combijacks and a top-panel 3.5mm AUX Input and Level Control for connecting MP3 players, smartphones or tablets.
