The VOX Phantom shape has held a special place in musicians' hearts since its introduction in the 1960s, alongside the classic Teardrop shape. Now, VOX is excited to introduce a compact guitar inspired by this iconic VOX guitar.

The versatile new MARK V mini guitar promises to be an indispensable part of a variety of scenarios. Whether you’re entertaining at house parties, relaxing in your living room, adding spark to a festival or camping trip, accompanying you on the go (it makes a great travel guitar, especially when paired with the amPlug or VGH Series headphone amplifiers!) or even recording in your home studio, this compact instrument is sure to shine.

With a smaller size, narrower neck and lightweight body, the VOX Mark V mini is easy to play, especially for those with smaller hands who find full-sized necks frustrating and difficult to play.

It has a short scale that can be played like a regular guitar.

This new MARK V mini guitar has a short scale neck of 476 mm, but by fitting thicker strings it can be tuned to standard tuning (EADGBE), unlike most other mini guitars on the market. The nut is the same size as a regular guitar, but the length of 476 mm is three-quarters of that of a standard guitar. Thanks to its clever design and standard tuning, the MARK V mini guitar can be played with chords just like a standard guitar without having to adapt your fingers. In fact, due to the shorter scale neck, your fingers can flex more and play chords that are not possible on a guitar with a standard neck size!

Special earcups for trouble-free tuning

To accommodate this instrument's short scale, we developed special tuning pegs set to an 18:1 gear ratio. This makes tuning the MARK V mini guitar as effortless as a full-scale guitar.

Pickups that deliver classic VOX tone

The MARK V mini guitar features two high-quality single coil pickups that give you the distinct sounds of the 1960s, as well as a switch that lets you choose from a wide range of sounds.
