Small Diaphragm Condenser Instrument Microphone: Comes with TK60 Cardioid Polar Pattern Capsule and M60 FET Amplifier.
The M60 FET Cardioid package features an M60 amplifier paired with a TK60 cardioid polar pattern capsule. The TK60 features a 15mm diameter, 6-micron gold-plated membrane that has a surprisingly full low end and a fast, accurate transient response. The frequency response is flat from 150 Hz to 7 kHz, with a smooth, airy peak at 8 kHz, making it ideal for drums, hi-hats and cymbals, piano, acoustic guitar, and other acoustic instruments.

The M60 FET's incredibly fast transient response captures nuances and subtleties with impressive precision and clarity. This results in a highly detailed sonic result that is perfectly suited to the complex character of stringed instruments and percussion.
Circuit design
Utilizing a unique proprietary circuit topology, this reinterpretation of the classic FET microphone amplifier offers exceptional transient response and SPL handling capabilities. Carefully selected and tested components are hand-assembled onto a gold-plated circuit board to deliver an ultra-clean, true Class-A amplifier with +/- 2dB frequency response from 20 Hz to 50 kHz. The output is coupled with a custom American-made transformer that delivers especially low self-noise and a typical THD+N of 0.015% or better, making it ideal for critical recording applications.
Construction
The M60 FET amplifier housing is finished in a durable, lightly textured black powder coat finish, adorned with the historic TELEFUNKEN diamond badge. The microphone's XLR connector housing is finished in a matte black nickel-plated finish engraved with the model and serial number. The TK6x capsules feature a bright nickel-plated housing with a fine gold mesh pattern.
Internal Accessories
The M60 FET Cardioid system comes with a 5-meter SGMC-5R XLR cable with right-angle female connector, an M761 elastic shock mount and a microphone windshield, all packaged in a ZC61 zippered carrying case.
