M4U eX is a compact yet extremely powerful USB 3.0 MIDI interface with 8 MIDI ports.
Each of the 8 ports can be used as a MIDI input or a MIDI output, not only replacing traditional MIDI interfaces like its popular predecessors with 4 inputs and 4 outputs, but also providing other possible configurations. For example, you can use up to 8 outputs at once, or up to 8 inputs, or 6 outputs and 2 inputs, to give some examples. And the best feature? All this is done automatically, depending on your connection to other MIDI inputs or MIDI outputs, and each automatic input/output configuration is displayed via colored LEDs on the front panel.
The M4U eX is not only one of the world's first USB 3.0 MIDI interfaces, it also includes a 3-connector USB 3.0 hub for other USB equipment such as software dongles, USB keyboards and more. This can literally turn this device into a hub for your MIDI and USB instrument devices. The class-compliant device can be bus powered or powered from the included DC power supply if required for other USB devices.
Compatible with Windows 7/8.1/10/11 and macOS, the device not only provides perfect timing and the highest low-latency performance of any MIDI interface in its class today, it can also be used completely autonomously, without a computer: different operating modes allow you to route input to output signals, combine MIDI signals, or use M4U eX as a MIDI pass-through box. These modes can be selected at the push of a button when required.
If 8 ports aren't enough, you can connect multiple units to the computer at the same time - the larger M8U eX with 16 ports is also available.
