Initially gaining fame as a teenage phenom as the guitarist for Bay Area thrash band Testament, Alex went on to dabble in a variety of musical genres, including sophisticated jazz playing with the Alex Skolnick Trio.
With the ESP Alex Skolnick FR, you get the ultimate in detail found only from the luthiers at the ESP Custom Shop.

This traditional shape hides the contemporary instrumentation, which includes a set-thru, U-shaped three-piece maple neck for smooth access up and down the fingerboard.

It comes with Alex's own Seymour Duncan AS Signature pickups, offering great dynamic response so you can access a versatile set of tones by simply turning the volume knob.

Flexible controls include dedicated volume knobs for each pickup, a tone control with push-pull access to separate the pickup coils, and a pickup selector toggle.

It also provides a Floyd Rose Original bridge for super-expressive playing capabilities.
Other high-end components include Dunlop straplocks and Grover tuners.

The Alex Skolnick FR comes in a Black Aqua Sunburst translucent finish over a figured flamed maple top.
