BigAmp is a small, high quality jfet instrument preamp. It can be used on stage and in the studio. It offers the possibility of connecting instruments from electric bass or (acoustic) guitars to line level synthesizers thanks to its ¼” female TRS input. It provides high end amplification thanks to its low noise class A amplifier and converts your instrument output signal from unbalanced to balanced. It has two models; Straight version and piezo transducer.
DAW Recording
BigAmp is the ideal companion for DAW recording. Being able to record a clean, direct signal to your disk will have a huge impact on the shaping you do to the sound later on.
How does it work?
Simply plug the BigAmp into a microphone cable, plug in your instrument and engage Phantom Power. The BigAmp will feed directly into the balanced input of your mixing desk. It can also be used before a mic pre or channel strip in a studio setup. The BigAmp can equalize the high impedance unbalanced output of your guitar with the low impedance input of your mixing desk/mic pre.
