HMX
Many engineers love the tube sound. If you're one of them, you'll love the HMX feature. Step back in time with the ASP800's unique harmonic distortion control. Its design, similar to preamp designs from the 1960s, lets you get great sound on everything from drums to electric guitars.
Thanks to MOSFET technology, HMX produces asymmetrical harmonic distortion and allows you to add richness to your tone. Bring your sound back to life in 1960s style!
IRON
Say hello to IRON, Audient's new British transformer saturator. IRON uses a unique British transformer with a high voltage MOSFET drive network to capture the sound of 1970s recordings.
ASP800 has high performance Burr Brown 188dB AD converter technology. The designs in the analog stages have been created with years of experience and have been developed to reflect the sound to you as it should be. The effects of converters on the sound should never be underestimated. You can experience this naturalness with Audient sound.
In addition to the 8-channel microphone preamp, the ASP800 offers two harmonically rich JFET DI inputs. Using the design of classic tube amplifier inputs, you can plug in your guitar, bass, keyboard or drum machine and start recording directly.
