Specially designed casing provides powerful and clear sound

The Adio replicates both the solid cabinet resonance of a guitar/bass amplifier and the clear sound of a home speaker. Thanks to new ideas in the cabinet structure, the multi-purpose Adio excels in both scenarios. It features a bass reflex structure that provides a sound intensity that exceeds the size of the unit, and a structure that reflects the spatial depth you expect from stereo speakers. The speakers are constructed with an advanced curved body design that creates powerful, high-quality sound that shines for both performance and listening.

A divided cabin design

To prevent unwanted cabinet resonance, the inner box that secures the speakers is completely separated from the rear baffle. Moreover, the inner box separates Left and Right into independent areas to produce stereo sound with a spatial sense. Its rigidity is increased by a body design that minimizes parallel surfaces, suppressing unwanted vibrations that may negatively affect sound quality.

Honeycomb speaker frame

The front grille uses a honeycomb structure with a hexagonal set of perforated speaker space. This effectively maintains power while providing maximum space. The high ratio of openness and the freedom of the speaker make the sound clear and direct.

Portable design further enhances low-frequency playback

The bass reflex section uses a component that creates a smooth expansion at the entrance and exit of the cabinet port. This minimizes unwanted noise and also increases the efficiency of the bass reflex to further enhance low frequency playback.

Unique shape provides an enhanced listening experience

The Adio’s unique curved design allows the speakers to point diagonally upwards, ensuring the output reaches your ears directly, even at short distances. This means you can always enjoy your performance or listening experience in its sweet spot. VOX's proprietary VET (Virtual Element Technology) modeling technology

Adio uses VET (Virtual Element Technology). Instead of imitating the output sound of the original amplifier, VET meticulously models its components and circuit design. VET perfectly derives the characteristics of the original amplifier from its character, not relying on the engineers' own ears and being influenced by the condition of a particular amplifier unit. It is equipped with a high-performance DSP to ensure high sound quality.

In addition, the distortion algorithms in the Adio Air GT have been crafted to reflect your picking nuances in the best way possible, without obscuring them, allowing you to enjoy the ultimate touch response.

23 different realistic and wide range of amplifier models

A total of 11 built-in amp models include VOX's legendary AC30, high-gain and clean amp models. The models have been carefully tuned to exploit the potential of the compact Adio, so they are all truly usable, high-quality amp models. You can select a total of 23 types of amp models using the Tone Room software. With just one device, you can enjoy a wide range of amps, from classic amps to luxury boutique amps.

All these effects are also provided: four modulation-type effects such as chorus/tremolo (FX1) and four ambient-type effects such as delay/reverb (FX2) are built in. The Adio with stereo speakers is equipped with high-quality stereo effects, and you can use a total of three effects simultaneously, including noise reduction. As with the amplifier models, you can choose from a total of 19 effect types using the Tone Room software: 11 for FX1 and 8 for FX2.

Tone Room editor/librarian software lets you choose from a wider selection of amp models and effects, as well as customize detailed parameters and audio EQ settings to fully exploit the potential of the Adio. Up to eight custom amps and effects can be saved to the Adio. Tone Room works on multiple platforms: Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android.

Additionally, the Adio Air supports Bluetooth MIDI, so you can effortlessly design your sound using your favorite device as you can control parameters wirelessly.

Many features to support music player

Sound equalizer

The unit provides four preset EQ settings that you can select as you wish. You can also use the Tone Room software to make detailed adjustments to each frequency band of the graphic parameter. You can also use Tone Room to make settings for VOX's original "Bassilator" circuit that cover the low-frequency range that the EQ cannot reach, allowing you to enjoy ultra-low-frequency sounds that you would not expect from a unit of this size. Up to four EQ settings you make can be saved onboard.

Noise reduction

A noise reduction feature is provided to reduce unwanted noise when using high-gain sounds. It can be adjusted in five steps.

Automatic tuner that also supports drop tunings

Adio also provides an indispensable tuning feature for guitar/bass playing. The tuner also supports semi-tone down tuning mode.

USB audio interface

Since the Adio has a USB port, you can connect your computer or tablet and use the Tone Room software, and use the Adio as a USB audio interface to record or playback your performance. The Tone Room software lets you switch between three types of routing: monaural/stereo recording or re-amping.

JamVOX III modeling software included

JamVOX III modeling software is also included, so you can easily practice guitar playing on your PC. Take advantage of the GXT feature, which lets you cancel or remove/emphasize a specific section from an existing track; use the music player feature to play a loop from a song you’re learning or practicing, and even change the tempo. It supports ASIO drivers, so you can record and play back via software outside of JamVOX III, such as a DAW or guitar amp simulator.
