From the Vox Hand-wired series, the AC15HW1 is a hard-wired combo amplifier featuring a Celestion G12M Greenback speaker and a turret designed board.
The birch ply cabinet is a natural high frequency dispersion. It is an all tube design. It has three ECC83/12AX7 preamp tubes. It has an EL84 Duet power tube and an EZ81 trimmer. The appropriate Ruby Tubes are used to provide a wider dynamic range. It has a traditional Vox two channel design (Top Boost and Normal), with High and Low inputs for each channel, as well as an additional BRIGHT switch for the normal channel and a HOT/COOL switch for the Top Boost channel to achieve more gain. The Master Volume/BYPASS switch allows the Master Volume section to be completely disabled, while the OP mode allows the amplifier's output level to be halved.
It has a vintage speckled vinyl body reminiscent of the classic AC30 from the 1960s. The HOT/COOL switch of the Top Boost channel can be controlled with the included VFS1 footswitch. A dust cover compatible with the amplifier is also included as a gift.
